My Qualification & Experience

Behind every teacher, there is a person.

So while qualification and experience do of course matter, personality and communication skills matter just as much. Not every student likes every teacher, and vice versa.

One usually finds out whether one “clicks” with a teacher in the first meeting. In the meantime, for everything related to the “hard facts”, you can have a look at my formal qualifications below.

Goethe-certified language instructor

I hold a DLL Teacher’s Certificate by Goethe Institute and know how to apply the latest methodological insights to my lessons, while also making them fun, engaging and effective.

Qualified for vocational German language training

I have obtained an additional qualification for teaching job-related vocational German language courses (BSK) for migrants preparing to enter the German job market.

Master's Degree in Business Administration

My educational background is in International Business Management with a Master’s degree in Marketing & Sales. I have worked in the retail trading and import/export sector for a few years, so that I feel particularly qualified to teach Business German to expats wishing to re-locate to Germany.

Accredited by BAMF

I am accredited by the German Federal Office For Migration And Refugees (short BAMF) and am thereby authorized to teach state-funded Integration Courses for migrants and refugees.

Over 3.000 hours of teaching experience - online & offline

I believe the future of education is online, but that doesn’t mean classes cannot be personal or immersive. I have gathered extensive experience in both private tutoring and group courses, online as well as offline.

I am a sworn translator for German, English and Spanish, authorized by the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig-Holstein to offer certified translation services.
